A working system, not a project about one.

The situation

I do not need a development project. I need a working system.

The difference shows at handover. A project is delivered as a presentation and a document; a system is delivered by real people starting to use it, and it holding up.

What happens

It starts with a conversation about the business, not a specification. What has to become true in the world for the work to count as done — before the first technology is chosen.

It is built for production from the first week. Not a prototype to be finished later: finishing later usually costs more than building it right.

It is built for two kinds of task at once. One belongs to whoever uses the app: the courier in the field, the operator, the customer. The other belongs to whoever owns the product: what can be changed without a developer, what shows up in a report, what backs a disputed transaction. The second half is the one that gets forgotten — and it is the most common reason a system is rewritten from scratch a year later.

Mobile where the system needs it. A courier in the field does not open a website; they have a phone. The app is not a separate product here — it is part of a working system, together with the backend, the integrations and the deployment.

What you get

A system under real load, and an architecture the next hire can read without you.

How it went

The previous team said it was impossible. We started from an empty repository: shelf layouts, planograms, analytics for category managers. Four years later people lay out shelves by that system every morning — and ask for more features.

The courier app in the vending system I built myself: from the first screen to working in the field where there is no signal. Not responsive markup — a real phone application.

What this is not

Inventing the product for you. Consumer interface design. App store launch and promotion.

The app here is part of a working system, not a standalone product.

How to start

Describe what has to become true for the work to count as done. And one number that will show it.

The first step is a diagnostic: two weeks, CZK 60,000 (about €2,480), fixed. You leave knowing what the system does today, what blocks change, and what to do first. What I need from you: access to the code and to the running system, and an hour each with two or three people who own it. The two weeks start on the day that access is open.

I will call you back

Leave a number and one line about the system. I call and ask what I would have asked by email.

The number is used for this call only.
